Florida Golden Adventures

Live a great story.

Fernandina Beach – Perfection

Florida Golden Adventures cannot say enough about Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island tucked away in the northeast corner of Florida. From the oldest saloon in the country at the Palace Saloon, to a sleek, hip watering hole next door with amazing cocktails charcuterie, and custom cakes at The Distillery, it is a Florida Golden Adventure paradise for sure.

You can easily find a beachfront room or rental, or you can book a room at a familiar favorite like Hampton Inn. If you prefer 5-star accommodations, you can go first class during the stay and book the Ritz Carlton or others in the area. Choices are always good.

The Book Loft in downtown Fernandia is a great shot to pick up a new book.

Aside from the beach and brackish waterways, there are many adventures to be had. Enjoy exploring Fort Clinch State Park if you’d like some outdoor adventure. Or simply park and walk downtown and enjoy shopping and dining. If you are ready for a recommendation on a good book shop, the Book Loft downtown will give you great service and quaint variety. Shopping for the grandkids? You will find unique toys and gifts at Villa Villekulla Neighborhood Toy Store. You will be sure to find the perfect treasure there to make you the envy of the other grandparents.

We would be remiss if we did not mention the abundance of fantastic bed-and-breakfast lodging options like Fairbanks House. There, like just about every bed and breakfast in town, you will find friendly ownership and management, a quiet, clean, and comfortable stay, and, of course, an amazing breakfast worthy of your vacationing efforts.

Aside from the beach, downtown, and state park, there are plenty of other adventures like put-put, ice cream parlors, live music on the beach at various restaurants, and so much more.

One of the best kept secrets if you are a morning and breakfast person, is to enjoy breakfast at Sliders Restaurant on the second-floor balcony at sunrise. This beach-front gem is typically not crowded and offers great service, food, and views.

In the evening for dinner, one of the best meals you will have on Amelia Island is at David’s Restaurant. The service is outstanding, the cocktails impeccable, and the steak divine.

Not only is Fernandina and Amelia Island a must-have on your Florida Golden Adventures list, if you’ve never been, once you have, it will be and adventure you will enjoy repeating.
